Hi lads.

Just bought my son a used cube ams 125 for Xmas.  On bringing it home I noticed a small oil leak from the pp leaver on the rear rp3 fox shock.

I have read up and it needs a full service which is £100.   I prefer RS as I can service them myself.   If I get a RS rear shock same length and stroke will it just be a case of swapping them over ?  Will thebushings fit etc ?   I’ve never had to change a rear shock before so sorry if it’s been asked loads of times.

I will just get the fox serviced if not.

Cheers

How small? I'd probably ride it anyway to see if it's anything serious, but apart from that same length will fit, can't remember bushing diameters though but should be listed

Hi Mike thanks for reply.

Mots inly a weep and only happens if I move the pp lever.

I know it is the damper fluid that is leaking but the rebound is working fine .  Propedal doesn’t seem to be working but I never use lockout on any of my bikes so could live with that .

i will just keep my eyes open for a Monarch at a good price.

Thabks again mate

You’d want to get a shock with the same type of tune, the Fox should have some markings on it telling you, you’ll want a replacement shock of the same type or have it tuned to match. Personally I stick with the Fox

As poah said, a service and tune for your son would be a better way to spend the money.
