I rode the old course last year. It was steep, rooty and slippy. I'm a good DHer and could hardly get down the course. New one is just as steep and even more insane!
And that was before it rained! This looks ridiculous!!!!

In true STW style - Meh...seen guy on a rigid singlespeed 29er flying UP there last week. Bit faster than Matti on the way down too. Think the name Glupton was printed on the back of his jersey?
I like that every so often the rooty tight sections open up into quite big jumps with steep falls to one side if you misjudge, just to shake things up a bit. personally don't think racing's as good to watch when it's this wet, though.

It looks really sticky. All the women seem to be falling. One lass is walking and stopping to clear mud from her rear triangle. 🙁
A spectator near the bottom has a sign saying "Man up you fairy!". 🙂
Wish the twot with the "Man up" sign would move two feet to the right, as he's currently blocking the camera at the best bit of the course...can someone have a word please...?
I wish whoever is in charge of the live feed would figure out where the loose connection is that cuts the footage out every few seconds.
