Hi,

Looking into a 2 week holiday at the end of July to Chamonix and Verbier. Planning on spending a week in each valley at the moment and just on here to see if anyone has any advice? Particularly on what trails are the best and lift passes? Looking to do singletrack/AM stuff and some easier downhill trails. Heard a bit about the Brazilian in verbier. Anyone recommend this??

Any help or advice would be appreciated,
Cheers!

Having ridden both areas on many occasion your best option is to get a guide or hook up with some locals, there are trails all over the place and not all of them are marked on the maps, trails riding Chamonix is quite a sensitive subject in the summer months and September is the open months on all trails for bikes.

Brazilian is not in verbier! best to get booked with Bike Verbier - they will show you the goods.

Chamonix has a bike ban in july on the main stuff. still plenty of stuff to do though. get the Tom Wilson north book for starters...

For Cham - Try Les Houches just down the valley - I thought it was really good

+ 1 Bike Verbier. The Brazilian's ace - BV will take you there and to plenty more equally amazing trails off the beaten track. Fantastic holidays with unforgettable riding.
