Hi All,

I have a SRAM XO chainset with a X2 spider. It has 38 and 24t rings on but I want to reduce the diameter a little to a 22t inner and probably a 36t outer. They are 104 bcd.

What are my options? Can i just fit any manufacturers rings as long as they are 104bcd or do they need to be specific to SRAM.

I have never bought outside the SRAM or Shimano options when I have bought new rings before so would appreciate some advice.

Cheers

Dogsby

jfb,

Yep, the outer is 104, not sure what the inner is.

99% of rings with the right BCD will fit, some have little tabs that catch but any good aftermarket ones should be fine.

Are your bolt holes regularly spaced ?
Some newer cransets seem to have weird distribution around the circle
