So im planning to convert to 1x10 and ive bought a raceface 30t wide narrow ring and these [url= http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/e-thirteen-single-ring-bolt-set/rp-prod66378 ]bolts[/url].

Question is, will these work on my deore triple crank in the middle position? If not, which bolts will.

Im all confuuuused haha

Ive just found the compatibility chart for the 30t ring and it says the required size is 8.5mm and the ones i ordered are 6mm. Oops. Looks like they will be sent back.

It dpends on the chainring you've got. Some of the Raceface seem to have a moulding with a larger thread, the 5mm are for what I class as 'standard' single rings, I have noticed some are a bit different.

Got the ring fitted Friday. Can confirm the required bolts for the 30t is 8.5mm. This is good because they are used on a standard triple crankset! So I can send those bolts back and save a tenner!

The ring look lovely and going 1x10 has reduced the clutter significantly.
