I have a 2016 Genesis longitude with an old school quick release rear wheel. Looking for a new 11 speed crankset for it and am trying to figure out the chainline. I think that QR means it will be a 49mm chainline (but may be wrong about this). Can I use a 52mm crankset and remove the drive side BB spacer to bring the chain line back to 49.5mm. Or is this a terrible idea? Thanks.

Your DS crank might hit the chainstay, give it a go as it's meant to be and see what happens
