Before I go and fit one, does anyone know whetherl a dual ring chain tensioner will still work correctly without a bashguard? Blackspire Stinger, if that makes any difference..

I fitted a Stinger to my Alpine using the ISCG mount. Works brilliantly, didn't lose my chain once on 2 runs of Fort William's downhill when another Alpine rider said he lost his lots of times!

Btw, if you mean does it work on a triple ring set up then no, it would come off the side of the Stinger on the big ring so only works on dual ring or dual with bash. If you need a chain tensioner then I hazard to say you could use a dual and bash set up quite happily and not miss the big ring.

It'd be on a double, just to control chain slap and prevent any chainsuck issues.
