Just bought a Cannondale synapse 105 road bike.

Have the 11-32 on my Synapse (105) wheels and have a turbo trainer wheel separate. I'd like to put a 11-28 on the turbo wheel, then I can swap between the two wheels the if doing road or Turbo.

I don't need the 11-32 for turbo, so 11-28 is ideal.

Will the chain that's on the bike now be sufficient ?

I swap from 13-34 to 12-20 or something like that when I go time trialling. I wouldn't worry about changing 4 teeth.

regularly swop 11-32 for 11-34 on my cx not quite the same scale but no issues at all for me so worth a go i would say - sometimes the indexing is a little out - put that down to not being the same hubs rather than chain wear issues as a 1/8 turn on the cable tension sorts its - i am running a long cage mech so not sure if that helps - bit more chain in the system and movement to take it up
