IS there anything stopping me getting a cheap top-only chain guide like the cheap superstar one (that I can't make the forum link to) and just running the inner half of it so that it will work with a bash?

I guess it might require some modifying.

Like the nice little hope one but a lot cheaper.

Not sure billys would reach as far as the middle ring?

It does reach (easily) on an HTII crankset with 68/73mm bb shell. Would you like me to take a picture 😀

I used the Jump Stop together with a bash on a 1x10 setup, worked fine.

Would a Deda Dog Fang do it?

Jump Stop (metal) is much more robust than Dog Fang (plastic) IMO.

The hope one comes over the top of the chain too, can you mod the Jump Stop easily to do the same?
or is it just not that much of a problem?
