Looking at going 2x10 with a bash and chain device.

Ideally i would like to convert my existing xt chainset, can this be done ? Also which chain device is compatible ? I've heard that some ie blackspire devices won't fit .

Cheers

no, let me know if you find one. @2x10, maybe hold out for these new chain tension mechs from Shimano/Sram.

Think it looks like picking up an e13 drs. that is the only one i could see that would fit

i know its not a full on chain device but i have fitted one of those bionicon chain guides on the chainstay and so far its worked really well. Gonna get one of the new xt shadow plus mechs when they come out too.

I've got a 2010 alloy stereo and it has a press fit BB. I'd always assumed that it wouldn't be possible to use a BB mounted chain device with this. Am I correct?
Do some of the Stereos have a threaded BB?

I think the stinger fouls the chain stay as there so wide. and there are no iscg tabs on a cube stereo

haribo, what middle ring did you fit ? Do you know if a 34t or a 36t middle Will fit ?

I got a Stinger to fit my Fritzz using the bottom bracket model (normal HT2 BB). Did need a hacksaw job on the back plate of the device to reduce it a bit on one side to avoid the chain stay, but nothing too scary.

I have a 34T at the moment and am happy with that. Got an 11-36 on the back so have a good variety to pick from. was possibly planning on getting a smaller cassette at a later date if i wanted to change the gearing at all but a 34 is good enough for the mo.

thats a very good question. um having a bit of a brain fart. i think i may have inherited it off a friend. got it a long time ago then found it sitting in a box. i ran a 32T 2x10 for a long time and didnt have any issues with that
