Whats your budget James? , I don't have anything for sale myself but if we know approx how much you can spend it will be easier to help.

If it's less the £500 then I'd be looking at hardtails rather than full sussers as you'd be throwing money down the drain on a bouncer for less.

What model? The bottom end one is rotten. The X is OK but I still wouldn't. The top end XXX with the Domains was pretty nice though, heavy but effective, you could do a lot worse

If you seriously want a susser then you need to maybe think hard about selling the HT to up your spends , £230 won't get you anything that will last unfortunately , I paid slightly less than that for my '06 Specialized SX frame last year.

Have a scan round sites like http://www.southerndownhill.com/ and see whats on there , theres someone selling a Rocky Mountain 'Slayer' for £600 http://www.southerndownhill.com/forum/index.php/topic,246112.0.html

Sorry I'm not trying to be funny/clever , just don't think it's a good idea for you to throw cash at something that isn't going to last.

I don't have much spare money and both my bikes(ht/fr) have been built up over a number of years to the point where I'm happy with them (even if they aren't the most bling things on the hill)
