Evening All,
I'm heading to Sherwood Centre Parcs with the family in a couple of weeks and i see in backs on to Sherwood Pines - can you ride through or is is all fenced in like an open prison?

Chris
I think there's a passage round the back.
It's a bit tight though. Fun when it's wet.
Also best to ask permission before ploughing in to it.
Don't assume that you'll be permitted to go that way though, access is not guaranteed, even though there's a precedent.
Stayed there earlier this year. We stayed right at the back against the fence backing onto the forest. No access through the back unless you want to toss your bike over a rather high fence and yourself as well. I did the civilised thing and rode out the front entrance and round the side of the park. A rather pleasant warm up ride before getting to the forest.
Suggest you pop over to Mumsnet, they have a special thread on the back entrance at Centre Parks.
As above - out the front, down to the left and follow the track back along the fence. You come in at post 4 I think.
Apparently you follow the road as if you are leaving the park and you turn left instead of following the road round to the right...a 5/10-minute ride from there to Sherwood Pines according to one of the bike centre mechanic dudes.
Educational as ever, cheers all!
Right, off to Mumsnet........... 😯
Turn left out of the entrance to a permissive double track, about a mile along it... Keep the razor wire on your left. All off-road. Brings you in at the bottom of the fire road that runs through the middle of the pines.
