Do cycling clubs have their kit on general sale to the public or do they usually have them just for their members?

I imagine its members only but most clubs are pretty cheap to join.
The question is, why the hell would you want to ride in a club's kit but not be a member??!!?? Thats worse than being a full-team-replic-kit-guy.

IME club kit is sold to members only. I have noticed that Castelli allow the ordering of some kits, not sure what the criteria are though.

Club kit is normally sold through the clubs clothing secretary....
