I've got one, it's plenty bright enough as you'd expect from 500lm and the main unit seems well made.

The mount however isn't great, it's fixed so that it points down at whatever angle your seatpost sits at.

This may be alright for some people but I've had to bodge a wedge onto my seatpost to angle it up so it isn't pointing down at my pannier bag.

I wouldn't want to use it offroad at all either as the mount surface is quite shallow and all the weight is above it so it bounces about a bit.

Also the battery life claims seem somewhat optimistic as the button goes red on mine after less than 3 hrs, no matter which setting I use. Gets me to work and back though so I'm not too bothered and it's easy to swap the battery for another.

I was hoping for something a little more positive.

Sorry, but for me the mount really let's it down, especially with my setup

The battery may last a lot longer than the indicator light suggests it will, I haven't tested it though? My commute is 1.5 hrs each way so I charge it along with my front light everyday to be sure it'll last.

And it is reassuringly bright, I feel safer with the knowledge that there's no way anyone coming up behind won't see me. I haven't had anyone moan that it's too bright either.

Thanks hairy, I don't use a bag at the back. It does look like a wedge is needed.
