What fun on two wheels 8)
Eldest son discovered how steep you can ride with disc brakes and proper tyres today... Watching him was nerve-wracking, especially as we had only gone for a potter round Loch Ordie, so had not taken his pads...

It is really good fun. How did you get to the top? We usually head up a disgusting climb after the fun cliff edge singletrack on the A9 side. Last time there I tried to find a route into the top from the other side (mill dam) so you could do a loch ordie loop then finish with the caves pass, but everything that looked decent on a map led to dead ends.

We headed up the seemingly dead end old tracks, from A9 side. They are only a few hundred metres of push/ride/clamber over logs. As you get to the top, the trail is better as some local shhh trails (maybe even crag descent?) joins in. At the top of the pass, it suddenly becomes a great path.

In Dunkeld this weekend - any pointers where to pick up the start of these trails? Was hoping for a week explore at some point.

After living on the doorsetp for over 10 years, I rode it for the first time last Wednesday with a riding buddy who has lived were all his life. There's more to explore up there!

Had a great blast up in Dunkeld on Sunday. Followed the majority of the Perth Enduro route but missing out the loch ordie section. Beautiful neck of the woods. Although one of the sections that was really flowy through the woods to inchewan burn has been felled. There is a lot of logging going on up there 🙁
