the appeal of this is you can just ride in 🙂 The surprise is that it's only 100m from a bridleway I've ridden many dozens of times and I never knew!
Saw something similar a very long time back in MBUK(so long ago it was when it was good), some guy riding the tin mines in Cornwall, reckoned it was possible to virtually cross from one side to the other underground.

Hodge Close ?
The upper entrance is on the right about 200m from Little Langdale ford towards Hodge Close (pictured just above). The far end is quite near Slater Bridge. More pics later.
