It has been a few years since I've been there. Has the commonwealth games course been all but removed and replaced? Is it worth a trip to spend an afternoon there or only good for an hour?

It is a nice wee area to play, new pump track is great. It is a busy place with walkers and runners so keep an eye out...I'd say go for it.

We went in the winter - as above, new pump track, it's had some maintenance, it's still the couple of hours of giggles it always was.
It was great for a wet and windy day when we were avoiding high hills and damage to soggy local trails.

I wouldn't necessarily travel far to ride there but if your local it's definitely worth a couple of hours with some fun sections.

If you haven't been for a  while there is a Carpark at the bottom now next to the pump track which means you get to finish with a downhill.

The top original bit, pretty much. There's hardly any signage left to show what's supposed to be the bike trail. It makes for a miserable experience with walkers all over the trail.

Even the new lower sections are rife with walkers.

There are some rider built trails in there as well but you'll have to look for them.

The original stuff is all still there, from the top car park, and the new stuff from the Ardencraig Road car park is good fun. It all joins up and as said there are some nice wee off piste sections.

It’s very local to me but is my nemesis as I have had a couple of major hospital trips from it - having analysed why, partly me being a shite rider but mainly too much familiarity coupled with loose marble like gravel surfaces and quite a lot of bare rock.

I coach there with Glasgow Riderz but don’t ride there anymore out of choice.
