Been a while since I last posted on STW.

Anyway, looking for trails from caterham over towards Reigate hill. Reigate hill looks great and there surely should be something up there?

Also seen some trails on cockshott common just before the pilgrims way. Struggling to find any information on these too.

You're close to some of the best mountain biking in the country - Use the North Downs Way bridleway as your guide - there's a couple of bits that are footpath only that you'll have to navigate around on country lanes but otherwise it's fantastic. You can follow it out to Boxhill and onto Leith Hill if you are really keen.

Thanks, I ride the north downs quite often on my rides. I normally head to pitch and holmbury if I'm out for the day. Ideally looking for some decent bits of single track.

Thanks for the reply. Saturdays are my busiest day with the kids. Usually go for midweek or evening blasts

I used to ride the area quite a lot used to ride out with Addiscombe CC. Lots changed in the last 5 years if not more.

I tend to ride most early mornings through the week before work for an hour or so, and can do evenings from time to time, happy to meet up sometime and share the knowledge. Can also supply various Strava rides if they’re helpful…

Ha, having grown up in caterham and still living in the Surrey hills, got to say I'm still dubious of good trails in the area .... maybe things have improved in woods south of caterham school and off the top of the north downs looking at that strava loop. Not sure about Reigate hill either....theres one off the top parallel with gatton bottom road. I'll shall watch this thread!

As another Caterham grower-upper there’s plenty about. I’d offer a guide as well but with a baby I’m not flush with loads of time and barely make it out in the evenings at the moment.

I’d be careful around that Big Daddy though. He’s a strange one 😉

Back at ya Mr Swan! Do you still ride? Been a while!

Anyway, as Matt says, there’s plenty about if you know where to look for it along the North downs ridge, and up towards Happy Valley etc…

I have found some bits up at kenley air field then out behind warlingham school. Down on to the north downs.

Happy to meet up one day soon. I only have an Ebike 🤣

Did find a good run in the wood the other side of the junction 8 cafe. Gatton park¿

A Reigatarian here. There are 3 or 4 short singletrack runs near the jct8 cafe and a couple of nice bridleways heading off the main track to Colley Hill but things generally get better the further West you go (Mickleham, Ranmore, Leith, Holmbury, Pitch etc). I seldom go East and so would also be keen to hear if there is anything that way worth exploring as a quick local loop.

Some nice flat trails from Mickey Pierce's cafe out to Margery and the golf course at Walton on the Hill. Then onto Headley Heath. Not so much in the way of twisty singe track though, more big wide tracks with nice views.
