You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I'ff off to Los Angeles at the end of the week and am hoping to enjoy some local biking whilst I'm there. We're having a couple of days on Catalina Island and wondered if anyone can recommend mountain bike there. Reviews on the web are largely of wide fire roads ridden by oversize folk but I have found the odd snippet of craggy singletrack. I'm struggling to find a decent hire shop/bike shop online who I can have a chat with to find out a bit more.
I've been but it was about 20 years ago and didn't ride there. Looked to be things to ride but it is a very 'regulated' island from what I felt at the time - the locals might not want you riding off road very much.

Thanks Rachel, I got that impression from some of the websites...I wonder if the nice singletrack were cheeky trails rather than the tourist authority approved fire roads! Think I may give it a miss.
