Looking for one that doesn't cost the Earth (i.e. Park Tools), but will also be strong enough for periodic maintenance.
Any opinions/recommendations?

Used 'posh' one off Fleabay, Park or Leyzene would be my choice. Avoid cheap tools, if the budget won't stretch to a new posh one, get a second hand posh one for the same price as a new cheap one.
