Cassette cogs slipping round

Hi folks,

So I swapped out my xd driver freehub and replaced with the equivalent dt swiss oldskool shimano splined freehub and sunrace cassette. Mainly to do with cost of replacing xd driver cassettes, but also it enabled a larger than 42t granny cog (now a 46)
After a couple of months of trail/offpiste type riding, all the cogs whether independent or clustered rotate back and forth slightly when the lockring is torqued-up. When stripped down, there's no noticeable wear but the teeth of the cassette that locate in the splines of the freehub seem too baggy and poor tolerance. Never had this before in all the decades of riding on various sram/Cassettes.
Is this a sunrace "thing" or have I worn it out. Cassette is steel, freehub is cheese (but still relatively unscathed).
It's 11sp on a 11sp freehub and bike. Maybe it needs a v thin spacer or just a new cassette. Spacers are cheaper hmm..

Any thoughts?

Ta, Howie

If it's an 11spd freehub then you'll need a 1.85mm spacer if running an 11spd mtb cassette.

As above, 11 speed road cassettes required a slightly wider freehub body whereas 11 speed mtb cassettes could fit on the old standard 10 speed width HG freehub.

Cheers folks, it's on my old Jeffsy. Will see if I can fit a spacer in without the smallest sprocket fouling the frame.
Currently chasing problems including mech clutch wear (gx 2.1 bodgery) and rear wheel bearings replacement for the second time.
