Walking past this morning and spotted a roadie in there. Popped in and had a closer look. Large(55.5 compact) Sora STIs, mechs, Tiagra brakes. No name hubs, Rigida rims. Quite scratched and scraped, but straight and no dings. Needs both wheels truing and a new front mech, brake blocks. I don't need a roadie either, I have an SCR and an old tourer in the garage.

Where abouts ?

My crappy singlespeed is doing my head in on commutes on open roads. Fine round town but not for 7-10 mile country road bashes in these winds.

If you can do the work yourself then £80 sounds alright to me. 8 speed road front mech is about £15 new, blocks are probably £10 for two sets.

Should have spent the money re-pointing your wall instead

This could be the quickest purchase and resale in STW history.

Deal done, would be a shame to see a decent bike wasted. After a quick bucket of water and wd40 fettle, it should be usable with a wheel true and front brake blocks, rest is worn but sound.

That was a good deal I sold some bars with shifters on for £40 plus postage from the same bike a few weeks ago.
