Morning All,

My new forks have arrived and brought with them the question whether to star fangled nut or not. Is a Hope Head Doctor a better/safer solution or is there an alternative bung?

the question whether to star fangled nut or not

It really isn't.

Head doctor is for Alu and steel steerers only.

Buy a carbon specific fork bung.

It really isn’t.

But clearly is as your answer is not to use one and to "buy a carbon specific fork bung" instead...

I meant there is no question. It is not open to debate. There is no 'instead'.

Your Cervelo (hopefully) came with a metal insert that the SFN was already fitted to that was glued into the steerer tube. I really hope you don't just have an SFN fitted to a carbon steerer cos if you do the fork is a write off.
