Ok just doing a service on my new carbon crosser after the Three Peaks and what do you know a the top tube is cracked right through in line almost right round the whole tube just near the head tube,
Most impressed it got me down from halfway down Whernside (where i heard a loud crack) up PYG and back down where i gained nearly a 100 places and the down tube did not fail, no catastrophic failure.
Top stuff i will have another! when i have saved up for another frame. 🙁

I'd have a look at what the warranty actually says on your bike.

If you dont ask you dont get.
The worse that can happen is the warranty dept say no.

So you are getting another frame that failed because you used it outwith its design parameters. That sounds like a good idea

Yep call for warranty - not sure why STW seems to forget about that so many times.

Try "My Frame is cracked"

Bending the truth?
It was a cyclo cross race right?
Worst case scenario you get a crash replacement deal.
Unless your frame is from someone with lousy customer service?

hmmmm

new cross-country bike breaks on a cross-country route

and you think it's pushing it to ask for a replacement? Can only thnk you were riding along sawing at it with a hacksaw and hence are reluctant to talk to them
