Hi all
I am thinking of trying a brooks cambium c13 width 145 in my quest for comfort on my bike.
My question is I have an alpkit koala bag and ask for any one with any experience of bikepacking with a carbon railed saddle (lightweight credit card touring only) and the bike is a cx bike. I can't go for a steel railed saddle in the cambium range as they are either too wide or too narrow.

Thoughts welcome.
Thankyou

How do you know the steel railed ones are too wide or too narrow, if you've not tried them?

I'd have thought if the rails can hold your whatever kg, adding another 5-10 will be ok.

Carbon rails should be fine as long as you protect against abrasion from straps and don't apply sudden heavy forces at right angles to the rails. I wouldn't think that any kind of metal fixing would be a good idea.
