I picked up a 650b wheel with a busted carbon rim that I figured I'd have a go at repairing, but after sanding out the crack it seems the damage is more extensive than first thought with rim deflection that I wouldn't expect to see from a carbon rim.
I'm going to deconstruct the wheel to see if removing all the tension lets it settle down but will likely just replace the rim. Hub is solid so nothing lost.
The wheel is on a Sram rise 60 hub with Sapim CX-rays and the original 5.5mm hex nips, but it doesn't appear to be the original rim.
Inner rim stickers/Markings are WH228, 15G00937 and a lazer etched P5.5TW44008 in the outer surface.
30mm inner width, unidirectional, gloss. hookless with offset drillings
I figure someone might recognise this rim bed profile. Presumably a Chinese rim.
Any ideas?
No idea about the rim but I think a spoon would help in the repair
