Looking for something around 483mm, can take 2.6" 29er tyre, boost or 100mm spacing, flat mount would make life easier as it's for a drop bar MTB but that isn't a deal breaker, isn't a Chinese knock off and isn't £600+! £300ish would be better
Can anyone recommend one?
I had a Travers prong - still Chinese made. Mostly all are. But decent quality. But i did thousands of miles without a problems. It's boost so the width change would be done on spacers as per hope.
Think the A2C might be too long.
I'm now on the ENVE MTN fork which is lovely but £££.

Not necessarily anything wrong with being made in China, the problem is with knock-offs which are often found from Chinese sellers.
Carbon Cycles where always the go-to people for these. Not sure if they have anything suitable...
I just so happen to have such a thing. <cough stealth ad>

I have no problems with Chinese made btw, (I know most forks are) but I'd like one that is properly made to correct tolerances rather than made to look the same shape as a fork by someone with no knowledge of forks which ends in me visiting a dental hospital

That looks ideal.... apart from you say it's got a star nut in a carbon steerer 😳
Am I calling it the wrong thing?

Is it an expansion wedge or a star nut?
I have some whisky Parts Co. No.9 mtn forks that fit your bill 15x100 axle, £275

hopefully! a carbon steerer needs a carbon bung/expander wedge. hammering a star nut in will not do that thin carbon steerer any good at all
+1 for Exotic, they're generally not the lightest but they work great. And you used to be able to buy literally the same forks from Nukeproof and Pro for twice as much if you wanted.

Carbon steerers are normally quite a few mm thick, not what I'd call thin. I woulnd't think a starnut would do that much damage.

there are reasons they either come with an expander or fork manufacturers recommend using one. One is the fork warranty
Alpkit Pathfinder?
What about the selcof carbon forks as fitted to Whippets. I have a set and I'm sure they'd fit 2.6" tyres and are about 483mm A2C iirc.
Pop up on their ebay store occasionally too,
Kinesis maxlightnis a great fork I use it in my Stooge MK3. And about the right price as well. Boost, 490mm, 55mm rake. Swinnerton cycles £323
I’m home now so I’ve gone to the shed to check - looks like mine have an expander in, not a star nut.

I watched a video of cracked carbon steerers when people haven't used the correct sized bung or put it in the correct place in relation to the stem due to using spacers and its made me nervous and over cautious. I now use overly long bungs to spread the weight.
I'm currently using a genesis tarn carbon fork in my scandal. I reckon it will take a 3 inch 29er tyre. Sorry, don't know the actual size but they used to come up frequently on ebay for a good price around £100 pre covid.
Exotic monocoque carbon fork here, about 10k KMs over 2.5 years on my commuter/gravelly bike and I’m happy. Several length options, I’ve either got 470 or 490. Not sure on max tyre clearance though.
