New bike is currently being built and I need to shove the grips on. Used mucoff carbon paste on previous bars and the grips stayed put but when I removed them the carbon bars were scuffed and marked underneath, pretty sure because it was just grease with big chunks of grit in it. Anybody got any suggestions for something I can buy that will keep them in place but not ruin my shiny new one up carbon bars!

You want the non gritty one.

Hold on, I'll go find the name of the type I have.

Edit: - Motorex Carbon Paste 100g Tub👍

motorex isn't easy to find in this country. Is the finish line non gritty as I can order that via amazon prime.

Yep very fine texture.
It's what Santacruz used to supply with their bike build kits

Pretty sure the fiber grip is gritty unless they've changed it in the last couple of years.
The motorex one isn't.

Yeah i think SC have sent a tiny sachet of the finish line stuff but perhaps its less gritty than the mucoff stuff which is like using sea salt mixed in with gel!
