Hi, so am extremely tempted to get the Carbon Covert am thinking Black or Lime in medium, anyone know if anyone has these in stock/week or 2 delivery time, don't really fancy parting with 2.4k+ and waiting 2 months for it to turn up.
Any shops, any deals, any discount offers, any bundles ie headset and/or BB chucked in?
Any help or advice
My other option is Yeti SB66 carbon £2250 new (any good deals etc with these anywhere)?
Please post
No, I'm sorry to say they've slipped back in the delivery schedule and are unlikely to be here this side of Christmas, they discovered a problem testing the prototypes we saw this summer and it set production back a month.
The Alloy Coverts are due to dock tomorrow and the build kits are in house, as are the first Bandits, but we're not holding our breath for the Carbon Coverts anytime soon, January has to be a more realistic date, sorry but better they get it right than rush it to market and face the sort of problems some other brands have had.
Test a carbon nomad and ibis mojo hd first.
? Agree, I had heard some issues with tyre clearance on Sb66 and shoddy bearings.
Thanks
Had a carbon nomad wasn't blown away
Don't like the mojo (personal preference)
Enjoy your SB66 then Dom!
IMO:
The Yeti frame was designed, then they added a shock......
The Transition was designed with the shock in mind - looks way better!
I would also look at the ibis ripely 29er
I'm waiting for the covert!
No I don't (which is why I said I DON'T)
That does look 'orrible but also very little a hd
Can you not just wait til Nukeproof copy the Covert and get one of those?
Intense Carbine?
Having spent 3 years developing this beauty, the guys at Transition want to make sure that the production run is absolutely spot on before they allow the frames into the market.
They are conducting meticulous Quality Control checks right now, so we may need to wait a short while for the first frames to come through.
However, on the positive side, you don't need to pay out £2.4k to reserve one for when they do arrive.
We are now offering £99 deposits on all the bikes we offer, including the Covert Carbon.
As for getting one, you could consider this:Transition Coverts
Oh my god Dom!! Ride at least one of your bikes first mate!
Check out the video at the end of this gallery (click thru the pictures) of Andrea Bruni, Italian national Enduro Champ, on his Covert.
OK, this guy's got skillzzz coming out his @rse, but my God, it made me WANT a Covert RIGHT NOW!! 😀
If the carbon one rides anything like that - I WANT ONE.
Mind you, I'd have to learn to ride like Andrea Bruni too... nevertheless, it shows you just what a Covert is capable of.
