Probably a stupid question but is there a rider weight limit on carbon bars.
115kgs. Should I stick to aluminium
If there was it’d be specific to the bars. I had Easton Havocs at 125kg + and didn’t die.
I had Easton bars at 170kgs and they were fine, although they were 35mm diameter.
It depends.
I'm going back to alloy. My mates carbon bar let go the other day on a rough trail, no drops or jumps involved. The whole end came off on his hand and he had a huuuuuge crash. He was so lucky not to be seriously injured.
The manufacturer asked how long he'd been riding them because you should replace them every two years. Not good enough in my opinion.

Which manufacturer says this, out of curiosity?
Surely a load of bs- never seen any frame manufacturer saying to replace after 2 years.
