I'm toying with some new boost wheels for the 29er. Objective is light rather than burly.
- boost hubs, XD driver
- ideally 6-bolt
- at least 25mm internal. 30mm-ish ideally.
Initially I was thinking Light Bicycle rims (XC925) on Tune boost hubs (maybe Hope) but there's a load of factory wheelsets (Acros, Syntace, Roval, Bonty et al) that I don't know much about but might also be in the mix. Any ideas/opinions?
Budget is prob. sub-1000.
Have a look at just riding along. I have their carbon trail wheels, but he does xc too. Mine were about 780 I think. He’s a reliable wheel builder.
blue Flow wheels, chap off here.
Delighted with mine. Excellent communication and hand built for you. Fit your requirements exactly.
My Bontrager Kovee Pros have transformed my bike. Recommended.
Hope hubs arent overly light. I’d be looking at dt250s on LB rims, mine are 3ish years old been great
cheers
