Hopefully riding in Swaledale on sunday, where's best to park the car? Is the parking at the dales Bike Centre?
It's limited there and, I would suggest, for punters. You can park on the green in Reeth for a quid. Depending on where you are riding there are loads of places you can pull off the road.
Plenty of places in Swaledale to park up especially at this time of year but they might not have the convenience of having a cafe & shop next to them.
Depends where you intend to ride really, DBC and area is probably best for the Harkerside & Fremington stuff but I've also parked up at Langthwaite (pay & display) and further up the dale at Low Row, Muker and Keld. If you are looking at the Great Pinseat/Gunnerside tracks then Surrender Bridge on the road between Low Row and Langthwaite is a good point. Generally I'd say Gunnerside is about the split point: upstream of that use Muker/Keld; downstream use the Reeth area.
Second this suggestion...

You can park in the Dales Centre, but I think you'll be expected to at least spend some money there. Car park's pretty small.
Plenty of roadside car parking dotted about - up near Grinton Lodge, on the road just south of Langthwaite etc. If you're planning to have some nosh at DBC, then that's an option.

I hate you. 😉

Parked at DBC in the end as we were hiring a demo bike for the day, so technically we were customers. 🙂
Ace service from Stu on the bike front and route advice. Still grinning from the descent off Fremington Edge.
for the last 30 or so years, when riding in swaledale we have always parked on the green in reeth. £1 in the hospitality box, and a pint from the black bull.
