strive slightly more travel, dropper seatpost and 34 fox forks....
al+ 7, triple chainrings, better brakes, full x9 sram 1kg lighter....
anyone help me pick...... lol or suggest something else to confuse me.... 🙂
For what kind of riding?
agressive trails/freeride - would i think most describe what am doing atm.... currently i have a norco six three 2007 its supposed to be a freeride bike but its way more a downhill bike... i do like hitting jumps and love doing gravity runs but would like something that is a alittle more of an all rounder.... all mountian type
lol hope that helps..
I wouldn't worry about the brakes as you'll likely end up swapping them anyhow. The strive seems capable and is my do everything bike. If I did less uplift stuff and more xc then the nerve is lighter to lug around, although dont forget its easy to save a pound by simply swapping tyres for different sorts of ride (just a bit of a faff!)

so you actually have a strive?
how to you find it on the climbs as about half of what i do is climbs..... the main reason i am looking at the strive is the dropper post tbh..... 10mm travel on front and back isn't much of a difference and having a dropper would be far easier for the descents, a pound or two doesn't really matter to me atm as i have to lug my fat ass up with it do more likely i will lose weight off me and that will help more that a pound or two on the bike 🙂
It's ok on the climbs, being held back a little by the tyres I have on there atm. The top tube isn't too short which means it doesn't feel as cramped as it might on the climbs. Good that you can drop the fork and raise the dropper, certainly helps
anyone else got opinions on which bike or what other options in that price range?
