You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I recently bought a Canyon Strive. I would have said it's brilliant except that on my second ride out the front mech' stopped working and eventually broke off. The mounting bracket seems to be a bespoke casting that's only 1 -2mm think so I wondered if any other Canyon owners had suffered similar problems?
Just to update people....its been well over a week since I reported the issue to Canyon. They responded immediately asking for photos, which I sent. They then sent a technical drawing and asked me to identify part numbers for the broken bits, which I did. That was all a week ago. There's been radio silence from them ever since, which is a bit disappointing given how expensive the bike was (Its a Strive ESX 9.0 SL). There are other posts around commenting on Canyon's poor customer / warranty service, and on broken front mechs so it's a pity really.
Being without a bike sucks, but I guess you saved money (or got a better spec for the same money), so you have to expect a compromise of some sort.
They'll probably sort it out eventually. Especially if you keep on at them.
Have you called Cullen?. I had great service from them when I found my bike with the rear deraileur hanger broken on delivery. They sorted me out toot sweet.

Good luck with calling them, I've tried many times before and not had any luck. Their ability to be contacted/respond to emails can be very hit and miss.
Hope it gets sorted asap.
Update; after 2 weeks of silence Canyon responded today to opine that the damage wasn't a warranty issue and I would need to buy the replacement parts. I'm keen to hear from anyone else that's suffered this problem as the front mech mount looks really flimsy to me?
