I'm riding the TransAndalus / TransMurciana MTB trails in southern Spain in a few months, so I'm selling my Dirty Disco CX to make way for a 29er.
I want the Grand Canyon CF SL 29er, but wondering whether to go for the 6.9 or the 7.9 Team version.
There's £200 between them. Which would you go for? Is the 7.9 worth the extra cash?
CF 6.9 is £1,599 and the 7.9 TEAM is £1,799.
Advice is most welcome. Thanks
In a nutshell what's the difference?
In a nutshell:
The frame is the same, but here are the differences:
Fox 32 Float CTD Evolution OR RockShox SID RL
DT Swiss 1900 Spline OR DT Swiss 1700 Spline Two wheels.
For £1,599 the bike is Deore XT equipped and weighs 10.8kg.
The more expensive is SRAM X9 / X0, weighing 10.2kg
Go for the best wheels you can, that makes the biggest difference as far as I'm concerned. The 1900 splines are not terribly light, I'd go for the 1700 spline 2. If they also happen to come with the SID RL, then I'd say pay the extra.
Exactly what Andy said, couldn't agree more!!
