Ignoring the ordering, returns etc (I can both collect and return it in person easily enough), what's the actual bike like?|
Bump... Also, sizing. I'm 182cm tall with an 84cm inseam and the bloke at Canyon reckons a medium. Given I ride a 56 at Cannondale I'm a bit surprised.
I have a large 2015 model and I'm 187cm tall. It's my first road bike so don't really have anything to compare it against...
I thought a large would be too small (most MTB's are) but it's actually quite long, I could even do with shortening the stem slightly.
Saying that, I would never buy another canyon after a friends constant problems with his strive and their lack of customer service...
Regarding sizing I'm also 182cm with a 84cm inseam and have a large ultimate slx. I've even gone to a 120mm stem. But then I prefer to stretch out rather than reach down.
I've not got the endurance but have got a roadlite before it went urban, and I love it, it looks much more expensive than it is and rides perfectly, ive had it 3 years now and haven't thought about changing it.
I ride a fair bit and apart from new brake pads a few times it hasn't needed anything else. I binned the saddle and fitted a speshi one, but the sizing of the bike was spot on once I flipped the stem, the calculator came up with a 50cm XS which surprised me but I ordered and I can't fault it, I tend to ride 40-50miles once a week and have done a couple of 100mile charity rides.
When I come to change it, I will probably go for the endurance as my next one, but that won't be for another year or 2.
