So I'm toying with a new commuter and like the look of a Canyon. The site suggests delivery time would be a few days, and I'm wondering if anyone has any recent experience of them since the horror stories last year - is this likely to be total fantasy?
Even with the horror stories from last year, the estimated delivery time was accurate. I ordered in early January and it said it would be delivered early April, but it actually turned up a couple of days early. I imagine you will be fine if you order it.
I just bought a Strive from them. It was "In Stock". I ordered it on 13th September and the estimated delivery was this week, but it came a week early on the 20th, last Tuesday, 7 days after I ordered it.
I had a similar experience last time I bought a bike from them a few years ago too.
strive arrived a few weeks late during their troubled time but comms were good, mate just had a sender arrive a week early.
OK, cheers all
I've just bought an Ultimate. Ordered from them on 19th August as 'in stock' and delivered on 26th September.
It was a bit painful to be honest including them sending me an invoice for a specific amount £x,xxx-97 which I paid but then sat in their unpaid accounts team for about three weeks cos the four or five items that were on the invoice actually added up to £x,xxx-98 (no, I didn't check and nor did they).
It took more than a dozen emails and tweets before they sorted it.
Lovely bike though...
Ordered a nerve al 6 on the 6th of august and the shipping date was supposed to be this week but I spoke to them today and they told me they are waiting for frames and it'll be another 2 weeks.
I ordered a Commuter that was supposed to be in stock. After a month I got a mail saying it was built and ready to ship and it took them the best part of another month to actually get to me.
We ordered a Spectral at the same time that was given a 6 week delivery time and turned up in 5.
