When trying to remove this thru axle skewer by pulling and unscrewing, the lever remains in hand.
So I can't remove the wheel.
I can't see damages.

Any idea or suggestion ? If the lever is broken as I suspect, how to remove the wheel .. ?

This is not broken. Screw the handle back onto the axle, and then unscrew the axle using the handle but do not pull on the handle.
The reason for the "pull" in the handle of those DT Swiss axles is so that you can orient the handle correctly when the axle is tight. If you pull the handle then it is disengaged from the axle.
When mine did the same out in Verbier we managed to get two thin nuts onto the thread locked against each other and then used a socket to extract it in the normal way. Mine was due to lack of grease and the axle sticking to the bearing
Yep, I was starting to consider that as an option.
But when you tell lack of grease you mean on the lever ? If YES is the answer, can I ask why not to add grease in the inside of the lever, for fixing the issue ?

No mine was lack of grease on the axle/bearing interface so they had started to bond together. Hope pro2 Evo hub

The two nuts works when you can unscrew the inner nut, but inside of this small space I assume you can't turn it unless you use 2 different sizes, with the inner one being bigger than the final. Was that the trick you saw ?

I just locked one nut against the other. A thin one on first and the second one dintn need to go on fully just enough to lock them against each other. Once on I only needed to crack it of the bearing and it came out easy.
Once back home I swapped it out for one with a hex end
This exact problem has happened to me. The lever is supposed to be screwed on and then loctite is used to keep it on the the thread. But as tracey has said if the axle gets seized then the force required to turn the handle can exceed the strength of the loctite and thus the boody handle just unscrews leaving the axle in place!!
I was able to splay the drop outs far enough apart to get long nose pliers in and grip the axle its self and managed to get it unscrewed. This method will of course gouge and damage the axle making it unlikely to be useable. But if you're desperate to get it out and replace it with a better hex end axle then it doesn't matter.
The other option is to put some loctite on the threads and screw the handle back on and leave it for 24 hours then try unscrew the axle again!
I feel your pain. This happened to me the night before I had a big ride planned. I replaced the axle with a Burgtec axle. But plenty other options on ebay etc

I believe the axle is anyway lost because of this crappy lever, so even the loctite is an option, maybe 2nd to the two nuts.
Maybe another approach is to insert a nut and damage (on purpose) the end of the thread so that the nut can't come ot, then unscrew. I guess this is easier than working with two nuts in that small space/hole..
Yeah, but now you at least know there are ways of getting it out! Its a pretty poor design in my opinion! Hope you get it out easy enough
