I have a 160mm travel RTC3 Pike and today I was looking at the front shocks next to a 160 yari that I have and I could noticeably see the pikes had less travel. Measuring them, its at 140mm, whereas the Yari is dead on 160. I can only get the pike to get anywhere close to 160 if I put in 100psi, which is way to hard for me - I need around 65ish. At 65psi it sits at 140mm. Is this common or is there something I can do to get the full travel back??
Cheers
They don’t always give full travel - at 65psi you’ll probably have a bit of static sag - bascially the weight of the bike will be letting them sit down a bit, but it’s not unusual for air to get on the wrong side of the spring and cause a bit of that. I don’t think you need a full service to fix it, but it’s a bit more than a lower service.
Sounds like they're sucking down or the transfer port is blocked.
Try doing a lowers service.

I didn't realise this was related to the transfer port. Did a google on this. Fixed the issue in 5 mins. Pump up hard. cycle it a few times. Prob sorted! Thanks for mentioning the port 🙂
