Words can't describe how much I loathe this Muin trainer, so I won't try. I'll just ask the main question.....
I can see the Misuro POS in the available devices list on my android phone. When I click to pair it it says "pairing" for ages and nothing happens.
When I try to use the elite training app it tells me to start pedaling, which I do, and after a while it gives up and tells me no signal found.
I've taken the Misuro POS out and got the twelve LED flashes and put it back in.
When the bike is left for a while the Misuro POS is no longer seen on the Phone's Bluetooth screen (as expected) when I crank the cranks it duly appears ( as expected) on the pairing device screen, but never pairs.
Any suggestions?
Tried the kid's mobile. Got a "Can't pair to this device, please check device settings and try again" message.
There are no device settings to check....
Got a dongle for a pc mate?
Nope, not unless it comes int' box.
Is that essential?
****in' pièce of shit.
If I'd had a glimpse of the nightmare support forums last week then I sure as **** wouldn't have bought this ****ing thing.
Sorry mate, sounds like you are pulling your hair out.
I mentioned the dongle as you could then try connecting to a PC in case it doesn't like Android setups.
Probably doesn't help but I have one and I use an ant+ sensor plugged in to my pc...works...
Has your phone got built in Ant+? If so, turn bluetooth off and try that instead?

How would I find out?
Many thanks
I had one of these and it was a nightmare. The problem I had was that even though there was a Bluetooth logo on the trainer that was only for cadence and not for power.
I tried connecting through ant+ on my phone but with no joy. I was eventually able to connect using an ant+ dongle on my laptop.
However I found the trainer very slow to react to gradient changes in zwift and it would often lose the connection.
It's a shame as the base trainer is a good piece of engineering but the power and connectivity features feel hurried and ill thought out.
The long and short of it is that I would never even think about buying another elite product as it nearly drove me to despair.
I think some newer samsungs have ant+ op.
What mobiles you tried?
A Google will tell you if they support Ant+.
How would I find out?
Is your phone on this list?

Mine works ok with bluetooth but a bit hit and miss when connecting. I bought an ANT+ dongle for my laptop and it works perfectly with that.

Yup, try an ant+ dongle. Works on my PC.
But also turn off all Bluetooth connections as sometimes one communication band can block the other b that's certainly the case with Tacx and Golden Cheetah.
Might it be the Elite training app that’s the problem? The reviews in the App Store are very poor. I’m using my Muin with FulGaz and it connects perfectly, trainer/power meter and cadence.
The Muin doesn't do power (assuming we are talking about the Turbo Muin 2?)...just speed and cadence.
Dicky, FulGaz displays: cadence(rpm), power(w) and speed(kph/mph) so it’s getting power readings from somewhere!
But anyway, it connects fine and stays connected so maybe it’s the Elite app as I suggested?
The Muin B+ does have calculated power plus speed and cadence. Despite being called Smart on the box, it's resistance can't be controlled by anything other than the gears of your bike so there's limited value in pairing it with a phone or PC (unless you have no bike computer of course). I run mine with a Wahoo Elemnt over Ant+ and it's been fine so far. Aside from the preinstalled battery dieing after two rides in the sensor.
Phew, right.
Totally confused as to why everything needs to be connected to every. **** fuvk ****
Ok. I want to pedal my bike in the house. Because it's dull as shit I want a number to follow. I want to know my power output so I have something to track.
Where the counting **** can I buy such s thing without having to piss about with ****ing technology for three pissing days.
Seriously, what trainer should I buy?
So this Ant+ dongle. Am I right in thinks Ng that I either need to buy one for my phone or myPC as they are different?
This one seems to be for a PC, have I got that right?

And this for phone:

Is that right?
Seems like a stack of cash to try and get this worked Ng.
Any cheaper versions?
Also, if I connect it to my laptop, what app do use with it?
I've got the Elite training POS installed on my phone but can't see what oo need on my PC
Do you have other bluetooth devices paired with your phone? If so, maybe try removing all of those, then toggle the bluetooth. I have an Elite Zumo, that connects to my PC via Bluetooth but it does seem a bit haphazard, as the others say, think ANT+ might be better.

Yep. Got Bluetooth headphones
Have tried turning off by and indeed restarting the phone. Didn't help unfortunately.
Pc should detect it as a plug and play device so once installed on pc, the elite software should detect and when you start moving the turbo, it should detect and connect.
Rather than power (as it is a virtual thing with this rather than real), why not do speed? See how long you can maintain 15mph or something...
