Anyone got one? I've seen a frame and forks for sale and wanted to know peoples thoughts compared to a Kona Unit?

I love mine. Nice and light, I usually only go for steel frames as I find alu too stiff but the Trail is quite soft compared to other any hard tails I've had.

I have a 2014 (?) baby blue version.
Absolutely great bike/frame&forks. as per bobby above - not super stiff but pedals well, forks work well and arnt overly harsh. I tend to use mine as a no fuss winter bike but I've taken it round Llangdeglas red route as well.

The only problem is the standard EBC is crap - i changed mine for a bushnell

Agreed on ebc. I've got last years in matt black. Had a Soloist before and thought I'd miss it as it was perfect for me. Happy to say it's not the case and its opened my old fashioned "steel is best" mind.

Brilliant bikes though BB requires maintenance. It is fairly easy to service once you know how. I'm now interested in the upgrade RNP mentioned. It's my go to bike now.

Great bike and really easy to swap to gears if you so wish. Just changed the dropout and zip tie a full length cable

Love mine. Use it all winter and if I get the time put gears on in the summer. Acres of mud clearance and light. Get the biggest front tyre you can find, the fork will take it.

Paid £50 for mine off ebay - would happily buy at RRP compared to the annoying slipping standard Cannondale EBB.

The stock fork is very quite long which cut the choice if you want to change to a suspension fork..

So how long is the A-C of the rigid fork? Could I not just put a 100mm suspension fork in the front?

I may be miles off the mark but the appeal of this bike to me was the frame and rigid fork as a factory combination. If I was in the market for something to put a sus fork in I would have looked at something else.

Same here. Might go with gears every now and then but same thing applies, I'd brought this as I wanted a rigid SS.
I'll measure the fork tomorrow morn and let you know.

I'm more than likely going to keep it rigid. I just wondered if there was on option to put a suspension fork on the front.

It's 1.5" head tube as well which means you're only going to start having improper thoughts about lefty forks...
