Anyone ?
Great bikes (apparently) but keep the Trek so you don't have to cope with specifically dish wheels, proprietary hubs & fork servicing. These are (mostly) the reasons I went for a Spark over a Scalpel.
IMHO.
I had an fsi, and really liked it, I thought the lefty was a lot better than normal fork, I do know what your saying though regarding Cannondales own specific details

Had a Scalpel Si Carbon 3 now fro 18 months, that was a replacement for a Flash 29er, its a great bit of kit, yeah the Rear Wheel is dished off centre, It has a Lefty and might just be a touch heavier than some but its mine and I love it!
Lefty, feels great its stiff light and really smooth, if you look after it won't let you down, its funny I never seem to notice mine going through the travel range in use....
The Carbon 3 is also great spec for the money, Si Cannondale Cranks, XT/XTR Mix and Crest Wheels, I changed the grips and the discs and went riding.
Cheers stylish, what does your weigh ?
anyone else ????
There's a really good, very deep long term review here:

Extremely capable geometry so ability of bike far outstrips what / how you should be able to ride a 100mm FS.
Cannondale specifics make set up tweaks and spares a PITA. AI offset and lefty the obvious but also stem choices really limited, Cannondale do 60, 80 and 100mm and very few others now do 1.5” so I got stuck getting a 70mm stem.
I have the Enve wheels which are so stiff that although dead quick, it does make for a harsh ride.
In summary: Love it when riding it but hate it from a mechanical point of view
I wish i’d kept your F-Si! I replaced it with the Carbon 3 Scalpel and did a full race season on it last year and just started this years season on it again.
Pros - it’s incredibly capable and rides like a dream. When it works.... Which brings me to the cons.
Cons - Full Sprint remote lockout is garbage. Poor design where you have to mash the button repeatedly before the thing locks out. Regularly spend an entire climb trying to get the thing to lock out only for it to do so when I get to the top. Race ruiner that one. Even my warranty replaced lockout is just as bad.
The barb that connects the lockout hose to the front fork snapped off (no idea why, was just like that one morning). The suspension defaults to lockout if that happens.
Helicoil came out of my fork leg after a few months of regular use despite using a torq wrench every time. No biggie to fix but will also end the day with a trip to a bike shop.
My rear crest rim cracked around 5-6 of the spoke holes so got a new rim under warranty. Seems to be a common problem. I weigh 71kg
Rear triangle developed some play. The bearings are very exposed. Replaced the bearings to find the “lockr” axles weren’t greased from the factory and one had the wedge seized in it. New set costs £70.
Probably a bunch of other things too that I can’t remember. It’s been a nightmare from day 1.
That being said, it seems to be working ok at the moment....
Wish i’d gone for an Epic or Spark.
I’d be content with it if it wasn’t for the lockout remote. I’m trying to sorce an alternative lockout solution and it looks like I might be able to replace the fork lockout with the pushloc (like your FSi) and the rear with a different hydraulic button which I’ve found in the SRAM tech docs but can’t find one to buy anywhere....
I have a 2014 scalpel which it still my favourite MTB.
in 2016 I “upgraded” to a habit black as a wanted a little more gnarr than the scalpel could give.
Ultimately i should have stuck with the scalpel as the 2017 version can take far more than you’d expect given the “Xc race” bike tag.
I also don’t think you can fit a front chain guide like you can on the FSi.
Yep just had the helicoil issue on the front lefty on my 2018 SI-2. I can count the number of times the front wheel has been removed on one hand (My original Leftys are still going strong without the much "improved" helicoil arrangement).
Kit ordered from Cannondale turns out to be M10 x 1.0mm THREAD REPAIR KIT Helicoil type Neilsen CT2743 (with the benefit of a Cannondale sticker over the original barcode). The Cannondale one is £45 or £12.95 without the sticker.
Snapped two spokes on the rear Czero wheel. Thought I had only done one. I have ordered rather expensive replacement spokes (10no) from Cannondale spares in Germany and will replace the spokes and spokes in the vincinty of the breakage for the time being.
Agree with the lockout comment.
I ended up buying a spark ad bloody love it 😍
Congrats on the Spark, they are a very capable bike! I'm still trying to "fall in love" with mine.
It's fast, light and fun to ride though!
