been offered a mint bike , unsure of the year at the mo , and it's a bike i know little about . Was it a good ride ? ..any known problems to check for ? your advice / knowledge would be much appreciated.

Great bikes, superb to ride and no issues I know of.

Yeah they're class bikes. Best short travel FS I've owned. If it has a lefty that might need a service but that's the only thing I can think of.
