You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Finally fulfilled my Fat bike fetish and got me a FatCaad 1 with the Lefty Olaf fork. However on the first day of ownership I came across a Cannondale Tech doc. stating that loads of the Lefty forks have a dodgy air spring and there is a mandatory service update to a new version. It very clearly says that unless the fork has a sticker saying "2spring" then it needs to be updated.
A mechanic at the lbs where the bike came from says it's all historic and has been resolved, however the tech doc. specifically mentions the 2017 Lefty Olaf.
Does anyone have any experience or further information regarding this matter.

Coincidentally a mate who has the same bike but for a bit longer, reminded me of an when his fork became soft recently on a trip to Glentress and had to be re-pressurised, now we're wondering if that was to do with this situation.
Singletrack don't let me down.

The assembly only affects the balance between negative and positive; in your mate's case, if the air got trapped in the negative, the fork would feel as if it has lost air.
My Lefty has the 2Spring sticker.
There should be a serial number on the fork. Ping it to Cannondale.
As per what you said Chunkymtb I've heard from CSG and all is well. Thanks again all.
