Thinking of riding the chase tomorrow. What are the conditions like? I'm in Derbyshire and the conditions are worse than a wet winter. We've had so much rain over the last 4 weeks that everywhere very wet and muddy.

Surprisingly dry! Not even any puddles at the usual places on dog and monkey.

Now, it might have dried up a little since Thursday evening, but from the amount of mud I was covered in after an off-piste ride I'd say it's not far off winter conditions in places...

Other bits were dry though... but it was a bit of a lottery!

It's dry if you know where you're going. 😉

Coming down to stay next to Cannock in a few weeks time. Where's the best place to rent a bike? Swinnerton cycles? They sorted me out the last time, don't really think its worth taking my one with us all the from Morayshire

Swinnertons, Run & Ride or Mammoth are the main 3. Swinnerton has the obvious advantage of being at the start of the marked trails.

It was surprisingly dry when I went for a walk over there this afternoon considering the weather this last week
