Used Scoops for a while found them great , just lately I just can't get comfy at any position. Moving the saddle fore or aft makes no difference, should I just go back to the Spoons which I had no trouble at all , anyone else had similar problem.

I like Spoons but I find the padding "packs down" and lasts no more than a year or so before the saddle needs replaced. Could be the Scoop has the same problem.

Depends how big the lobe is.
Sometimes maybe we all change a bit with age, my back is less tolerant than it used to be so can lead to me disliking things or positions I was previously comfortable with.

Been asking myself the same question recently. Been riding the same saddle on my road bike since 2011 and always found it comfortable, but since switching back to the road from MTB at the start of July i'm really not getting along with it.
Hoping its just a case of needing to get some more hours in.

The saddles do wear out, either the padding loses its padding, or the base can crack or just go soft over time as the nylon/glass/carbon reinforcement breaks down.

I had a Bel Ail which was like riding on a cloud, suddenly become an instrument of torture in a couple of rides when the base cracked.

Yep, I've got an old On-One Big Nose which sags so much in the middle now it's become like a hammock. Actually pretty comfy!! 🙂

Absolutely it can. I used to love wtb saddles when I was in my twenties. Then moved to Spoons and then Scoops, loved them, then they started to put pressure in other places as I get ever closer to 40. Just switched to ProLogo saddles and my bum is LOVING them..

I've had spoons but they go floppy and the stitching burns holes in your shorts.

Have a look at the wiggle own brand saddles, I'm tempted to try one next, they look like they would work for a spoon user , the ragley saddles were also a win for me
