I have a Gold KMC chain that I've been using on my shimano 11,36 slx cassette. I'm swapping all the bits over to a road 11,28, will the chain work fine?

Thanks!

If its the same speed cassette (10?) and is either Shimano or SRAM then yes. If its Campag then it'll probably be OK but not ideal.

You can use KMC chains on a road bike in general, but in terms of yours working fine it depends how worn its gotten on the MTB and how old the road cassette is. You might get either premature wear or the chain may slip.

Mines fairly unused, the cassette will be brand new but as it's for dh it'll be a cheap £20 one like tiagra, so premature wear won't bother me 🙂
