My mate has a Triban 3 roadbike but hates the shifters.
He's looking at some Sora 9 speed shifter/brake units on ebay - not sure if they'll work with his 8 speed rear mech - all Shimano FWIW. Anyone have a definitive yes or no? Cheers

They'll work with the mech, but he'll need a 9 speed chain and cassette.
