Any idea on what its worth?
Is £320 posted about right or am i way off the mark?
£250-300ish. Depends. What have similar sold on ebay for lately.
I would agree at 250ish
Hmm under 300 is not worth selling
I'd say that's about right tbh. I picked up a full bike minus the front wheel for £250, but i think that was a good deal.
They seem to sell for about £350 on Ebay.
£250 would be about top whack I reckon..
Taigra/Sora 8 speed is not really a positive selling point IMHO..
Consider what else you get for the money though. 300 quid gets nasty shifters on the stem etc.
You might well find a market for used 8 speed stuff if you upgrade. I wouldn't go past 300 though
300 quid gets this http://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-3-id_8167038.html
even got a carbon fork.
If you think about it, a new one with Tiagra 9sp is only £580, I think that is a whole lot more than £260 better than yours, sorry
I would have thought you'd get £200-220 all day long but have to hawk it around a bit to get £250
the new one at £580 is SORA NOT tiagra
He's right you know
I'd guess 250 or 300 if you're lucky

whats your email address
The new ones new ...yours is used , your drive train might as well not be on the bike ..... Its worn. The new one is new ...even if it was sora its worth more than 260 quid 😉
lost me now
still makes no sense trail rat
a worn out drive train regardless of the spec is not as good as a new one.
Agreed.
Sora is now 9 speed.
And with Shimano this year's Sora is probably not too dissimilar from last year's Tiagra. Its the trickle down of benefits from the top groups. Makes 8 speed look positively ancient (and cheap as chips on ebay! :-))
A new one for £580 is a very good deal. Means their new steel winter bike can be had for as little as £650?
You can get the new carbon audax bike for £875 apparantly, which is bloody good value.
trail rat where have you got your worn out bit from, no-where near worn out!!
if there are some cheap decent 8 speed shifters on ebay without the "button" for down shifts please show me where!! I am happy with teh bike just want some new shifters that are easier to operate from the drops.
The new steel winter frame is only £175 at the moment!

rsx 500s are cracking shifters. mrs old winter bike has em
sorry not worn out , but your used for a year drive train. whats the chain stretch at then .... ill bet its worn out by the guidelines (or you didnt ride it at all)
either way it is not NEW which is the important point.
Owner in "not worth as much as i hoped" shock.
not at all - just confused by your poor use of English that's all. Essentially I have at most £200 for a new drivetrain, i am trying t`o work out if it's more financially viable to get rid and buy a new bike or just spend the cash on the groupset.
tell you what rob
theres a fella supposed to be picking up my mrs old winter bike this weekend.
if he doesnt materialize ill whip the 8 speed shifters off and post em to you !
then get new cogs and chain.
i only need shifters - if they don't have a downshift button then that would be great and we can sort cash
.
he never appeared - you want the shifterinos ?
ill take photos tonight if you wish .
FAO all the doubters - sold it tonight, got £310 cash collected, offered £360 to post it
