Dropping my van off for some work here next week. Got an uplift spot booked at Bike Park Wales to pass the time, but the ride up the valley from there looks most boring.
<span style="font-size: 0.8rem;">Anyone know can you ride up the back of the hill to round about the uplift drop-off? It looks like there should be a route up past the golf course on my OS map. </span>
Mountain ash downhill is in the woods on the right hand side of the a4059 (coming from Cardiff). Look for the forest sign with the small parking area. The fire road will take you all the way up the mountain and you can cut across to bpw (bit difficult to describe exactly where you cut across) It's a bit of a slog across the open fields at the top though and it's a fair climb up the fire road.
